safe boost level on 100 octane?

I am running 100 octane unleaded. On 93, I got flash of 2 degrees that quickly tapered down to 0 to 1 at 16lbs boost. I don't have a scanmaster. Should it be safe to go to 20 lbs?

24# no retard,on 100oct in 60* temp outside ,weather and a good intercooler effects you,just raise the boost one pound at a time till you get a little and then drop the boost down a turn

All cars react differently. It depends how much timing, what the ambient temperature is, fueling. I would definately get some sort of monitoring device [ie scanmaster, etc.] before you rase the boost 4 lbs. Just my .02 though.
