s-10 cyl. install help

that clip that holds them in from the back side of the drum sucks to put back in...I'd reuse the stockers if you can becuase they are easier to get back in. I reused one of mine...the other was nasty. Had to modify (rigup) the other side. Nothing a dremel couldn't knock off of that little retainer clip.

for about $10, a special clip-removal tool will save a lot of frustration.

See: http://www.lislecorp.com/tool_detail.cfm?detail=172 (ignore the tool description, it also works fine on our G-body cars.)
That one is Lisle brand, but a good parts store will often have equivalent tools.

For putting new clips back on the cylinder, take a large socket that fits over the clip, and just gently tap it on with hammer. Use a small block of wood wedged between the Cyl and Wheel Flange, to hold the Cyl in place.
