I drilled mine. There is no downside to drilling it, and most chips expect the egr during cruise so you might get part throttle knock at cruise without the egr.
 
From what little I know, I agree.
From idle to WOT there has to exist a little of part throttle.
Besides, you aren't always going to be flooring it. Sometimes just enough to break the tires loose is fun.
Drill the hole.
It won't hurt, and it might help.
When in doubt, ask the manufacturer.
 
I drilled mine because, as I understand, a functioning EGR is critical to passing smog here in CA. Besides, I actually want my car to run clean...and fast!:cool:
