Riv vs Regal Steering column

Are there any differences in my 85 Riv and and 85 Regal steering column? I am thinking of using one in my jeep project, but the columnin the Riv is all busted up? So if a regal column is the same as far as wiring and connectors goes, I will use a regal column to maintain cruise control and other functions.

More or less the same. The only part that is different is the jacket, which is the stamped steel outer part that bolts the column to the firewall and the lower shaft. Some other minor differences where the shifter linkage attaches. The Riv uses a cable and the Regal uses a rod. They both use the same switches so the wiring is the same though.
