No worries man. Thank you for checking it for me. I may speak to an interior shop and see if mine can just be recovered. I read somewhere the aftermarket/repro package trays offered fit like crap.

You can spray the carpet material?? Is it a spray dye? I’m unfamiliar with this process.

you can buy vinyl/ fabric dye in most auto chains , i use the black vht vinyl fabric spray often to redarken seats and carpets they do have a red color but wouldnt expect it to match your shade

kirban sells interior spray in correct interior color which works for plastics and such and will work for fabric , ive used his gray to recolor blue package trays

I guess then my concern would be that the package tray would then just be all matted and crusty from the paint. Or are you just saying throwing really light skim coats on it just to get the color back on there??

It does get matted and a little stiff but u can brush it and it will go back to soft, ive painted door panels, sail panel insert, and a carpet that had a bleached spot. All turned out fine after a few coats and some brushing.

it wont matt down , just light spray till you have color where you like

OK. I will give that a shot. I would be spraying the whole thing as it is completely sun baked to almost grey at this point. Thanks guys!
