i am going through my speakers now and replacing them cause they are all blown. when i pulled out the 4x10s i noticed they are 10 ohm speakers.i have never seen a 10 ohm speaker before.are these speakers not getting as much power as the other speakers.i have the 6 speaker sys.if im going to replace these will 4 ohm speakers work will they be louder or not as loud.does it actually split the rear channal in half for 4 speakers and make less power.the 5inch speakers are 4 ohm.thanks

The higher the impedence, the less out put from deck power or external amp power. Since you will be replacing the 4 x 10s with 4 ohm drivers, they will be slightly louder due to less resistance in the voice coil. I have a set of factory 10 ohm 4 x 10s out of my '86 GN that arent blown or dry rotted for $10.00 shipped if you want to put the originals back in. If not, I would replace the 4 x 10s with 6 x 9s for better sound. Just my .03 cents ;) .
