Manny Cruz's tube chassis sentra

Has made over a dozen passes, six passes being in the 7 second range and six passes in the eight second range. The best so far (that I know of) is 7.57 @ 179, car weighs 2450lbs.

945hp - 1117 ft lbs of torque

All this is done on the following setup:
============================
stock block
stock connecting rods
stock pistons
stock head gasket
stock cylinder head
stock cams
stock cam gears
stock timing belt
stock crank
stock intake manifold(slightly modified)
upgrades:
suprs(2jz) coils
motec ecu
dry sump oil pump
ATI Balancer
81mm turbo
-10 fuel rail
liberty 5 speed tranny
liquid intercooler

Most of this info is from Victor Brouschet, member RB30DETT on supraforums

BTW, The motor is a Nissan 2.6L RB26DETT motor (aka Skyline motor)... Pretty darn impressive if you ask me!

Same guy who owned the green new style cougar that was duttweiler powered? Nice, fast little car. :)

Must be nice to have 2 running race cars.
I would be happy with one!

I know he crashed the cougar at least 3 times to where it was big $$$ to fix the damage, not sure if he sold it or? At least with the sentra it doesn't seem so costly to maintain it as a race car.

The sentra is fast and cheap but it is also mother something ugly!!!1

With the short wheel base and that much power he would wreck that car for sure!!!

From what I understand, the couger is totaled, and he's borrowing this car from somebody to finish out the season. That's a damn impresive "loner car" though. :D

Manny (DeJesus) Cruz was at E-Town last weekend with both race cars. I'm pretty certain the Jag-powered cougar is ok. Both cars are neat pieces.
