Thanks in advance for reading this little mini-drama :)

OK, what can I do to stop this lady from harrasing us?

It started with an eBay transaction where my wife bought some victoria's secret blush that was suppossed to be new and it was used. We have almost 500 FB on eBay now, and we politely emailed the seller and she instantly became aggressive and accusatory.

Long story short - we leave her neg FB, and tell her we are filing w/Paypal (later we find out we cannot, because of no buyer protection - she was too new). Anyways, she negs us back and we file a complaint w/ eBay about her selling the used makeup and she ends up getting suspended. Then, she uses another ebay ID to buy two of our high dollar items from our store and instantly leaves us neg FB on them. eBay eventually suspends her again and after thier sweet time, finally removes the neg FB from the bogus account - but not the original.

Now, She emails us about 7 times per night from various domains - the worst being yahoo - these emails are profane, vulgar and most importantly - unwanted.

We have contacted yahoo a million times and forwarded everything to them, but she keeps getting new addys and keeps on emailing us.

I would just change my email, but it is for our eBay business and I have heard ALL the horror stories about switching addresses.

We have even gone as far as to notify the FBI and taking all of the steps on thier list before doing so.

Personally, I could care less... I just send them to a folder that we are saving them all in and do not give it a second thought. But my wife is worried that she may take further steps. (I do have to agree that my wife has this uncanny ability to get psychos after her, though) This lady was able to obtain her full real name and the cell # that I use through eBay's requesting of a user's info. She also knows the small town where we live in AZ due to it being listed in our auction and the PO BOX that the item was sent to. With enough research, it would be easy to find our house.

Any ideas? I just need to help calm my wife down.

get a gun, a big one.

9mms are ok but they pack to small of a puntch, you want something like a .357 or larger with hollow point bullits, splinters if you can.

might not sound like the right thing to do to others^^^^^

but have you tried calling the police and seeing if theres anything they can do? maybe the police in her area?

heres the plan

1. rent wood chipper
2. take wood chipper to pig farm
3. find psycho and invite her to pig farm
4. run psycho through wood chipper
5. feed chipped psycho to pigs
6. roast pigs
7. eat roasted pigs

seriously, just ignore the ignorant. and if she does find where you live then give her some 00buck lead poison.

Contact the police in her town. If the town doesnt have local police, then contact the state police.
Make them aware of the situation. Save any and all email's from her. If she made any phone calls to you then make them aware of that. If she made any threats via the telephone then that would be considered a crime and the police can pursue that.

there are so many ways to have fun with this, since you have her e-mail address:

1. sign her up for all kinds of e-mail porn
2. sign her up for any gimmick giveaway you can find

just keep annoying her through her e-mail and then she'll get pissed and stop, or get the po-lice involved.

either way, have fun with it!

As opposed to changing your email addy on eBay (and yes...that would be a hassle), simply start an entirely new eBay account, using your wife's personal information.

Granted, you'll start with a zero feedback level, but that can be artificially built up rather quickly.

...now if it were me, I'd take a different approach. I have too many technology-savvy friends that would love the chance to make her e-life hell.

DMCA

There is enough protection in that. Just send her a very threating email in pig latin with specific instuctions that only those who have your permission may decrypt it(Don't give her permission). When she breaks the "encryption", she can get 20 years easy for it:) The DMCA was written by people who had no idea what they were doing. A computer "hacker" will spend more time in jail than a person who commits murder. Yes there are more online laws to protect you from the crazy people but many police departments treat cybercrimes as a joke. I always sign people up for spam. You could return the favor to her. What is her ISP? Shall we play a game with her:) Save every bit of information she sends you!!

equalizer442 - got one... pretty good shot with my model 22 Glock, and my wife knows it... but she is still worried.

87grandnat - No, I have yet to call the local police... Good idea about calling them in her area. She lives in Richmond, CA - maybe they would be serious enough there to do something. I don't want her arrested or anything - just an officer to go over to her residence and let her know that what she is doing can be traced and is illegal.

blackbird - that was too funny, thanks for the laugh. I am ignoring the moron, it is my wife who is worried. She has this uncanny ability to attract the nutjobs that want to cause her physical harm. It has happened a few times before (not internet stuff) to her - serious situations. So, her being worried is not totally unwarranted. The only reason I have gone as far as to ask for help in the matter is, I pretty much exhausted my resources and, it actually kept my wife from going to sleep the other night. So I know it's bugging her.

GNVAIR - I have saved every stupid email, I probably will end up contacting her local police soon if my wife is still having issues with it. She has not contacted us by phone yet, but I am kind of just waiting for it to happen - it is my personal cell phone:eek:

Tom Tom Turbo - I am pleading the 5th. ;D

QuickWrench - We have over 500 FB though and have been established for 2 years... I would hate to start over. Are your friends in the mood to have some fun?:D

Dan Buick Man - yeah, I know. Well, you know how things build up :p

klrv6 - Even if the encryption thing would get her to jail - that is a little extreme... I wouldn't want to send someone to jail over this - not yet, anyways... I just want it to end. If I could scare her enough to stop - that would be plenty satisfying for me. She has used netzero (her main email addy from ebay), AOL, and most of the BS comes from yahoo now. And I do save everything I can on it - just in case she does do something stupid and I have to go to court to justfy the defense of my family and self.

Thanks guys for all the ideas and thoughts! Keep em coming!

OK, I'll go ahead and let you in on what to do. It's worked for others I've advised...

Assuming you know the person's actual location, start Googl'ing and/or yp.yahoo.com'ing for the following information local to the person's area:

1. Gun retailers
2. Local law enforcement (elected Sheriff, specifically).
3. Bars

Then, here's what you do:

Email her back. Only once...with the following format:

"Listen...I hate to let you in on this, but my [brother/cousin/father-in-law] is best friends with [fill in the name, after you've called anonymously] at [list the locality you've determined is most threatening].

...and add to the message from there.

If that doesn't work, PayPal me the airfare, and I'll take care of business. I have no conscience to speak of. It helps when racing professionally.

...or, for $200, I know some people who will guarantee a hack directly to her personal PC, and will get you whatever you want off of it.

Don't let some b!tch sideswipe your livelihood.

Best of luck to you.

You can also go thru Square Trade and have the feedback removed if you want. I think it's 20 bucks to have it go away. Most people go away in time. I'm sure this woman has no life and is a piece of human $hit and will tire out. It is nice to drop a "I'll stop by and we'll hash this out in person" e-mail.

I sold a pice of glass for 5 bucks on ebay a long time ago. Was for an arcade game. Plays me for a month or so then says he dont want it. As soon as he tells me he don't want it negs me. So I neg him back file all the paper work to get my fee's back when on SquareTrade and had them remove the feeback. He must have been watching my account and noticed the feedback gone. Well he went nuts with all these threaths and stuff. I thought over a 5 dollar piece of glass. He even went as far as to bid on my other auctions and try to win them. eBay has a blocking system so you can block people from bidding on your items. I have about 10 people in there as of today :) Well anyhow.. this person was'nt to far away and I found his address thru another ebay account he had, and in the middle of the night drove to his house and busted that piece of glass on his front step. I left him an e-mail as soon as I got home. "Came by to deliever that glass but you were not home. Let me know your schedule and I'll come back with another.. I have a garage full of this glass." Well.. that was the end of him forever :)

It might be a bumpy road but she will go away. Just don't reply or answer to anything she does. This will make her nuts and quit. But I still would follow up with the local police in her area and yours just to be safe. Good Luck.

If it were me i'd select 'show header' from your email program, and open one of her emails, note down all the IP addresses shown then got to the very last one and note it down.

go to http://www.whois.com and enter the IP address and run a search, copy all the info you get.

Email your ISP and ask for all messages and contact originating from that IP to be blocked indefinatley.

email or pm for much more info but that's the basics.

hope it helps, in most cases these people normally get bored and give up, hope this also happens for you.
