Pass side upper control arm outer bushing?

My upper control arm outer bushing takes a beating from heat off the downpipe.

Does anyone have a cure for this recurring issue?

Heat shield

IIRC SE Turbo sells a heat shield for that bushing. Could also fab one up to do the same.

Also check with the board vendors, they too may sell one.

Kirbans' control arm heat shield

I've got one on each control arm. Kirbans still has these available, bolts on in only a couple of minutes. :biggrin:

X2. Same here, I have Dennis's heat shield also, and it works like a charm....keeps the downpipe heat from frying the control arm bushing. A good design.
