Parts replaced, Help!

The following parts were just replaced:

Radiator
Oil Cooler Hoses
160d Thermostat
Water Pump
Water Heater Valve
Belts & Hoses
Power Master Brake (Reman)
Front Calipers
Coil Pack
Plugs & Wires
Valve cover gaskets
Fuel Filter
Oil Change
Transmission fluid/filter change
Brakes bled
Differential fluid changed

Before the change, the car ran smooth, except for the brakes, which had a delayed reaction, and some smoke from the valve cover gaskets.

Now, the car runs a little rough at start up, and also has white smoke at start up. Also in the higher gears, the car feels like it has very little power, unless I accelerate a fast pace.

If I accelerate at a fast pace, the check engine light comes on

If I accelearate at a slow pace, the check engine light does not come on.

I diagnosed the check engine light, and it reads, 3 flashes, pause 1 flash (3 pause 1), no idea what it translates to.

I am confused, could somebody help.

The good news out of this, the original problems are fixed.

Thanks for the quick reply, this may sound dumb but is the error code for 3 blinks pause 1 blink 31?

Could be, are you sure you're not reading 1 flash followed by 3 flashes (code 13)? The instructions are pretty simple in the link, did you try them?

I diagnosed the light again to double check and yes it is 3 blink 1. I see you live in Aiea, I live in Pearl City, soon to be Ewa. Thanks for the replies.

Code 31 is the wastegate solenoid located on the passengers side valve cover.

Red connector should be plugged into it.

2 wires.

Go plug it back in.
