Seeking suggestions on a quality paint shop for my 87 GN garage queen ... a shop that knows the meaning of "schedule" and "commitment" -- none of this "6 months to paint" or "car sat for 3 weeks" stuff!
Up to 100 mile or so radius, OK to include Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties ... but Northern San Diego county is a stretch.
I would use my '94 Chevy SUV as a "trial" or "test" case -- light rust discoloration spots starting to appear on hood and roof.
A big concern is how SCAQMD (South Coast Air Quality Management District) regulations may have affected the types and quality of paint available. When I asked a local shop about epoxy primers for my Chevy, he said 2-component epoxies and nearly all solvent-based paints have been banned for some time
That shop also would not provide any warranty on future rust spots, is this typical?
I live within a mile of the ocean, that probably doesn't help.
TIA.
