Original or not 87 GN - Rare?

Hello all GN family,

I just bought a low mileage (12k miles) 87 GN. When I got the car I was going to put it back to 100% original but ran into a problem........ The car has some after market stuff (air induction, chip etc). Talking to the original owner he stated this was a late 87 GN and he had these installed by the dealer prior to delivery of the car. Question is ......can this be true and if so would you keep the parts on the car? I have multiple receipts stating the date they were installed and it dates to the day prior to pick up. I have no reason to doubt to the original owner. Is this rare or was it common back in 87?
Thanks for your thoughts on this......

Obviously, that list is a cut and paste. I found a link to "Automotive Computer Technology.
They sell dlrshps the programming, etc, to make this type of stickers.
That total has no labor listed... Kinda strange the dlr works for free.
I seriously doubt a dlr would fool w/ the emissions cert by changing the air intake and the chip.

Bottom line, I vote BS..Just sayin....

That's what I was thinking as well. I do have receipts for all these parts. I think the car was purchased and these parts then installed right away though.

Dump the chip and get a Turbo Tweak chip. It will be way more suitable to today's fuel and it will run way better. As you fill out the order form you can state you are keeping the car stock. Dump the ram air can around the filter, it's a restriction. Drive it and enjoy it!

Thanks........ Just trying to learn as much as I can about this car. It also has an alky kit which I have no clue how that works. Has a button for it in the console. The car pretty original other than that and still sits on its original tires. ( looking into replacing). Thanks for your help..

What brand alky kit? Did the owner explain anything about it? 28 year old tires? No thank you. And how about a Scanmaster?
