Hey guys-

I got a wild hair and thought I would share some pics of my 10 sec. engine build. I will post more pics as the engine gets closer and closer to completion. Please feel free to let me know what you think and give me input on the set-up:

I have had the stock block bored .20 and added three main caps. Next I purchased an Eagle Forged Crank:

I also installed K1 H-Beam rods and Diamond Pistons:

Next came the Aluminum GN1 Heads:

Here's the fun part. I next purchased the Champion Intake, Champion Fuel Rails, Accufab 70mm Throttle Body with Dog House, and GN1 Valve Covers. THEN I had the engine painted like what I had envisioned. Note that the GN1 Heads were left their natural aluminum color. Also the tops of the valve covers, dog house, etc are sanded:

Why on God's green earth did you paint it Chevy orange ???

Now... I'm a Chevy guy to the core... but not so much that I'd paint my
Buick motor orange.
You should be strung-up by your testicles. :D

My new engine

That is definitely clean. I went with a lot of ceramic coated parts, black Champion irons and a grey block.

Thanks guys! :D

I really appreciate your support. I am really proud of it. I can't wait to get more of it together. I have a ton of parts that are being HPC coated. I will post pics of them when they arrive.

FWIW... It does look fantastic... Regardless of the color. :D

I'm just glad you picked Chevy orange instead of Ford blue. ;)

This joker makes me laugh.

I had decided on orange over a year ago. This is my second GN and I wanted to build a special car. The orange is kinda keying off of the Power 6 emblem. It will look tight when it is all together and in a black car.

As far as the type of orange it is......I looked at all of the options. When going with orange the colors are limited. I wanted something BRIGHT.

All of the others, Mopar, etc, didn't work for me. This is the best before moving on to actual car colors.

:)

Mister... That is Killer.... even if it only ran 12s it would still be an awesome engine....

Great work...

Mind if I post those pics on another site I frequent?

Thanks

Thanks alot! I guess it wouldn't be a big deal to post the pics on another site. But you might want to wait a few days and let me post some updated pics. It will only get better!;)

You know, the funny irony is, I painted a BBC very much like that... many years ago.
Everything was Chevy orange except the aluminum heads and intake...

I'll see if I can find a pic of it when I get home from work.
