on\off swich help

i need some info on what to do with the stock type altinator to kill the car when running. do you need to do something with the big wire off the back or the one on the plug.also does it need to be ran to the on\off swich also. thanks for the time.

Better to kill the crank sensor & the car will die. You can also kill the ecm & it will die but take 30 secs to relearn when started.

Killing the fuel pump works too. Kill the alternator and the battery will have to drain before the car will die.

im running a FAST system so i could cut power to that. i just need it to work for tech at the track because the battery is in the trunk

The way I did mine:

-6 wire from the back of the alt directly to the battery.

Used the "I" terminal on the alt for the exciter wire (factory uses the "L" spot). Take that wire and connect it to a 12 volt ignition on spot. When the power is shut off, the alternator quits charging.

My car turns off right away evertime when the switch is turned off.
