I have a fairly large oil leak from what I believe to be the turbo oil return line. Is this line under pressure at all? has anyone had any problems getting them to seal?

there is no pressure there unless you are buiding up crankcase pressure..

the oil basically falls out the bottom of the turboand runs back into the lifter valley

if you are getting crankcase pressure it should only be when under boost and better crankcase venting would help .

if you still have the stock oil fill cap you need to toss it and put in a open filter and plug off the hole in the plastic tube going to the t/b.

The stock return line is prone to cracking. I finally broke down and bought a braided line. I tried some temporary fixes so I could drive to work like JB weld and silicone but they never worked.

My oil return line always leaked until I got a new (used) piece and a new rubber grommit and installed them. Mine was also leaking at the turbo, so I got new gaskets from GM. No leaks.
