Oil Pressure Sending Unit

My Sending Unit Started Leaking And Want To Replace With A Vdo Oil Pressure Guage. I Noticed That It Is A 3 Prog Unit Why 3 Dont Most Have Just One Or Do I Have To T The Fitting For Both To Make My Buick Run

Just take that 3 prong fitting out and replace it with a single wire sending unit to a gauge. Works great on my car and these cars dont require that sender to make them run, the dash light will not come on if you just leave the harness laying off to the side

I'd recommend a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I never trusted electric. I just had one on my GN, an autometer.......read about 45 at idle and 60 at any speed. Replaced it with an autometer mechanical, so now I know what oil pressure I actually have.
