Oil in intake?

I pulled off some of the intake pipes today and saw oil residue in them. is this normal?

it can be. depends on the amount of residue and which intake pipes. puddles are not good but a film is not bad. was the intake pipe leading up to the tbody oily or clean? it might just be time for a good scrubbin too! hth

I'd try to figure out wether it's coming from the turbo or your PCV valve. If you have stock valve covers with the little line that runs into the intake of the turbo that could be the culprit too, however most people have disconnected that and blocked it off.

try pulling the vacuum line off the PCV and looking to see if there's oil coming from there.

I had the same problem and a forum member helped me out big time:biggrin: this worked for me. If you have the stock setup with the ps valve cover venting into the turbo? This is a possibility.
