Oil booster plate gaskets?

Ok guys so I’m having a dumbass moment. Got a HV+Plate for the oil pump. Done all the mods and I’m ready to assemble but the gaskets are throwing me off. I’m wondering what was Melling thinking or does it even matter? They want you to use dowels to line up the spacer plate for the extra height of the gears and they supply 2 gaskets that have holes for said dowels but they are missing 1 hole. Does it matter if that hole is blocked off? Stocks have it open. TA has the holes open. Then after that does it matter on gaskets between spacer to wear plate, and plate to filter housing? I know the spec of movement matters as far as shimming and such, it’s just the internal holes that have me baffled. Thanks for the help..

I would rethink the use of taller gears and that spacer plate. Are you doing some kind of endurance racing?

Just not needed and hard on the distributor/cam sensor gears to run that setup.
And in all reality not needed if you set up the stock stuff correctly.
