odometer knob extension ideas?

Bought an AVC instrument cluster from a member
Can anyone advise me how to make/fab an odometer knob extension as called for in the orig. kit?
I retro-fitted the gauges w/ red LEDs & (I think) it looks pretty cool
I'm chompin' a the bits to install, but need the odo extension!

I'm guessing you would first need to know the thread size and pitch.

Then you could get an aluminum, or copper, or brass round stock solid or tube and center drill it the length of the extension piece.

Then tap it the full length to screw onto the existing shaft then find a bolt or threaded rod the same size and screw it into the tube on one end and cut to fit, loctite it in place, or stake it, or solder it.

Unless some vendor sells one for some reason.....
