O2 Observations

I preperation for some experimenting, I moved the O2 sensor about further downstream in the exhaust. Right behind where the converter is (was).

I was worried about the O2 transportation delays and response times, turned out to be a mone issue. Things are fine.

One other thing, was the average O2 voltage dropped about 30 millivolts. My first guess is due to the difference in backpressure, having gone pre turbo to post turbo. Since it is referenced to atmosphere, that would make sense. One hidden item might be that it will be more resistant to leaded fuel poisioning.
Cheers

update?

was this the stock O2 that you moved?

what kind of pros/cons did you realize by relocating the 02?

where is the "most" optimum place to read the AFR with a 02 on the car's exhaust?

Yes,
it allowed me to use the oem O2 bung for something else.
AFR is the same from one end of the pipe to the other.

Post turbo has a much lower Exhuast Back Pressure. It would be an interesting experiment to see if they were more tolerante to leaded gas since the lead wouldn't be forces as much thur the sensor, but no one picked up on that....
