Not so good first drive of the year. UPDATE 9/12/14 VIDEO

Well it really doesn't cost anymore to build the stroker so why not? I want to be able to run the number without ringing the sh&t out of the car. I've committed to spending the money to do it right and not cut any corners.

If the car will run a high 10 and have some street manners I'll be happy.

It'll do it. I'm excited to see it happen.

Me too! I talked with Husek today and I'll have the lower end parts on the way tomorrow.

What is the status on your car these days?

Im heading out again either this week or next. Last Friday was 11.1 @123 on 23-24psi with a 1.70 60ft

That's a great pass. What do you think the cars going to run when you maximize your combo?

BTW what will my displacement be at 30 over with the stroker crank? These 6 cylinder numbers are new to me.

I'm guessing 249"-252". I don't know though, so I'm hoping someone else chimes in.

My goal is 10.20
Wallace calculator will tell you displacement
We will have to meet up again and go racing when you get your car ready for sure.

I hope to have the car back together by the end of June. I will definitely be back to the track this year and hopefully make a better showing than I did with the old motor.

Well get together this summer and see what we can tear up!

I'd like to race with both of you. Looks like I'm moving to Nashville this Summer, so I plan on racing here the next couple of months and heading out! I'll be in Byron on June 8th for the last day of the Chicago meet. Either of you going?

I don't think I can make it to Byron but hopefully we get a chance to meet up in Earlville or Cordova before you move. Why you moving to Nashville if I might ask?

My wife and I have more economic opportunities there as well as we just love the area; no snow.

UPS came today with a few of my parts. The block work begins this weekend.

Wiesco Pistons

Molnar Rods (Never heard of them before but they're beefy)

New billet caps. I probably could have used my old one but they took a beating so I just decided to go new.

I didn't unbox the crank, I have to transport it later today.

LOVE new parts. Keep the porn coming...

It's funny how the coolest looking parts we use people can't see.

Part 2 of the engine porn will be cam, lifters; roller rockers; Earl Brown timing chain cover and maybe a new set of valve covers.

My SFI flex plate and balancer are on the way but who wants to look at that.:wtf:

Update on my parts so far.

I have my parts pretty much all complete accept turbo.
I went with a Billet cam (Comp 218/212)
Danny Bee cam retention
Pro gear timing chain
TBP885 Roller Race Lifters
Harland sharp 1.6 rockers
86mm MAF
Stock head gaskets
All ARP hardware
Earl Brown timing chain cover complete
I already have the stroker kit with new balancer and sfi flywheel and Billet caps.
I also got all the gaskets etc from Dave. New Water pump, oil pick up screen, knock sensor, valve covers and breathers.
I am going to go with a 5.7 chip for now just for simplicity sake. I have a 5.6 and got a pretty good tune in the car using it according to my PL so no need to make things more difficult right now.

Still waiting on machine work to be completed but I hoping to have the car back together mid summer.

I'm hoping the car will run a pretty solid high 10 without ringing the sh&t out of it and have good street manners.

Installing my PTC today and might head out to CDP on the 4th. Hopefully get some good 60's out of it and shoot for 128mph.
