ok is it possible or common for the band to come off of the servo??????

removed servo it looks good but can't get band back down to put servo back in and was thinking that it might have been off the whole time.

any thoughts:confused:

You might try sliding a paint stir stick through the opening on left side to push the band back down enough so servo pin can engage, something skinny (1" wide) preferrably flexible to wedge between case and band along it's top, forcing the band down into position, good luck.

Kevin.

What whole in the left side??? the trans is still in the car.
might end up pulling trans and just putting a reds band in it. because to me the divit that is in the end of the band just doesn't look right, looks like it would not stay on the servo shaft

but if there is a way for me to push it down with it in the car LET ME KNOW;)

Like I said, you can try to get between case and band, also a long 1/4 drive extension or round screwdriver going thru servo hole to see if servo pin can push on band, you should see movement of band. Good luck.
