Going to a Turbonetics 4 bolt 70 BB. What converter should I use.
Its a 30 over stock block (girdled) 218/218 and 3.73 rear. Also should I lose the 3.73s and get 3.42s. Also 28 10.5 slicks

I would go with either 3400 to 3600 stall.
And i would get rid of the 3.73 and put the 3.42 back in.
The 3.73 is to much gear for these cars.

Good Luck!!!!

What exhaust wheel trim? I probably do 3500 + stall. What's cool is most tranny shops will give you a free stall adjustment.

Thanks All

I'm thinking of going with the 82 exhaust housing or tang housing. And the 373s are outta there.;)

If your going to get rid of the 373, I'll trade ya my 342. I never had a problem with my last TR that had 373(it's so much fun to light up street tires from a 45 roll). I don't see a problem with them if your running a 28in tire.

Wheezy,

Unless you like spending money on gears and such, there's no reason for you to trade out your 3.73 gears for 3.42 gears, so long as you keep running your 28" tires. There is NO significant difference between the overall gearing of a 3.73/28" tire combo and the overall gearing of a 3.42/26" tire combo.
