I think the torque converter is going out of the grand national, it was stock.
so I'm thinking of getting a better one, and I'm not sure what to look for or go with for a new one. I could just have the factory one rebuilt but for about that price is there anything out there that would be better?

Only mod is 42 lb. injectors with a turbo tweak chip, runs on 93 octane. Most everything else is original.

I WOULD HAVE THE STOCK (D5) CONVERTER FRESHNED UP... MYBE LOOSEN IT 500RPM ABOVE STOCK STALL, LAST ONE I HAD DONE WAS ABOUT $300 BUCKS...

Thanks for the info. I had also thought that while I have the transmission out I might as well have it rebuilt. I had the filter changed no too long ago and there were some metal shavings in it. When having it rebuild, should I go with a B&M stage 2 shift kit?

IF YOU'R HAVING A LOCAL GUY REBUILD THE UNIT ...HAVE CHRIS AT CK PERFORMANCE SEND YOU SOME OF HIS UPGRADE GOODIES, SHIFT KIT,SERVO,BOOSTVALVE...
