We are going to being offering Dana (OEM) rotors with a variety of options available. These rotors are purchased from Dana and then modified.
Prices will be as follows:
Cross drilled or slotted front rotors (pair):
$170 shipped
Cross Drilled and slotted or Diamond Slotted front rotors (pair):
$180 shipped
For an additional $25 per pair we can do a nickel plating to prevent rust - it is so nice it almost looks like chrome!
Cross Drilled
The drilled rotors feature no edge on the chamfer, accomplished by the use of an outer radius curve rather than a countersink, which virtually eliminates an edge on the surface of the hole. With no edge, there is less stress build up, thus reducing the chance of surface checking. This smooth surface also makes the rotor more pad-friendly by reducing the wear of the pad caused by the friction scraping against a sharp edge.
Diamond Slotted
The diamond slot design was created to maximize the out-gassing while maintaining the structural integrity of the rotor. The series of slots and diamond slots “wipes” the surface of the pad, reducing gases which build up and cause brakes to fade at higher temperatures. The slots and diamonds are machined to the minimum rotor thickness to insure rotor strength and integrity.
Slotted
The series of slots on the slotted rotors wipe the surface of the rotor forcing the gases to expel through the slots. The slots also greatly improve wet weather braking by preventing hydroplaning between the pad and rotor.
The slots on the rotors are machined to the minimum thickness. This is done to insure that the rotor strength is not compromised, keeping safety and reliability in mind.
Cross Drilled and Slotted
The cross drilled and slotted version is a combination of our two designs.
How many people would be interested? Expect to experience braking power increases of roughly 20%. Expect availability within 1 week!
