Need tilt steering column help!

When I put any kind of pressure downward on the wheel like when I'm getting out of the car, the column slips and moves down to the lowest tilt position. Its not staying locked in the middle. The column is tight so its not those 4 torx screws. Any ideas?

Sounds like the teeth on the tilt assembly might be bad, you may have to pull it apart to see.

I'm having the same issue. Can you fix the teeth on the assembly without changing the whole column?

Never actually done it but I'm sure it can be done, might have to get parts from a used column.
