Need help...should be simple?

I have a black wire with an orange stripe coming from the engine compartment fuse block. wire is about 12 inches long and the plug fell off(I think?) Can someone tell me what it goes to? I think it was my wiper motor? My harness is out of the car and I don't remember where it went?

that wire is for the lamp that attaches to ur hood for light at nite its soppose to have a connector on the end of the wire that plugs into the light socket
