My parking brake has become stuck and I can't get it to release. The GN is currently parked at a friend's house but it was way to dark to try and get it fixed tonight.

If anyone can tell me how to release the parking brake so I can drive the car that would be great. It's currently pressed all the way to the carpet and won't come back up. Any help would be great, thanks so much.

A quick fix is to go under the car right in front of the left rear wheel on the inner side of the frame, just in front of the fuel filter. Disconnect the cable by unscrewing the nut on the threaded connector there. Then you can get the car home and figure out the problem with the pedal mechanism itself.

You should be able to mess around with the pedal mechanism to get it to release. Buy a flashlight. ;)

Just a guess.Probably rusted tight.Get a buddy, someone pull the release and grab pedal to try to pull back up.Same time someone under car pulling cable back towards the pedal.HTH
