I found a buick regal that is a carburated turbo.Do not know what year it is and I need the rearend out of it. Is it the same rear axle as an 86-87? I am here now and need to get it if it is. Thanks

I really doubt I will be able to see it on my phone. My screen is cracked and scratched. Thanks anyway!

What tranny is in it first off. If it's a 3 speed then not the right ratio and all of the C/T cars are 7.5" rears not an 8.5.

Well it is stripped and we do not know what tranny it had in it. Is the diff covers the same size on both or is there a difference?

Covers are different as well as the casting on the pumpkins.

7.5" has little "hooks" on the bottom corners of the pumpkin.

8.5" has square blocks on the corners.

The 7.5" rear is the weaker of the two and it can be made to work. It needs some bracing to the housing and changing the spider gears to 28 spline but it can be done. The covers are not the same though.

I've got a 9" with 3.50 gears and a mini spool I'm trying to sell if you're interested.

Since its carburated im gonna guess its a pre '84. So it probaby has a 7.5" rear. It would work but its gonna be weaker.
