Need the transmission rebuilt.
Local self proclaimed expert is full of sh#t.
Not looking for a "good" guy.
Tired of "good guys" that don't know what they are doing.
Too many of them out there.
Looking for someone that knows how to rebuild a 200r4.
Tell me who does your tranny work and how long the rebuild has lasted.

Vince Janis,in akron,oh. I have been beating on it for 3 years
My first one lasted 5 miles snapped forward drum second one all billet lasted one track pass. So I guess its a gamble with anyone

I bought my GN last year with a bad trans. in it. So a friend of mine out side of the philly area built me one with all Art Carr parts and a 2800 stall PTC. It has extra clutches and a shift kit. It shifts nice and firm. I have over a 1000 miles on it with no problems. Some of them miles are hard. He is a A-tech and he said he is going start building trans. for side money. He has been working on turbo Buicks and TTA's over 20 years

How much power do you plan to put through it?
Do you still have the brf vb/gov in there?
What did this local "expert" do to it to help it live?

David Husek with Turbobuick Performance or Lonnie with Extreme Automatics. Both great guys and excellent service.

The first rebuild lasted about a month.
He put in new bands and clutches and that lasted 4 passes down the track.

Looking to get thrown off the strip by running a low 11.
Then will turn down the boost to run 11.5.
Doesn't have a cage and not putting one in.
Tranny still has the brf vb.
I think he may have toyed with the vb.

Boostian I know how your talking about. But its not the same guy. A buddy of mine name Frank rebuilt my trans. He is good friends with Jimmy. You seen my car at the Thomas show a few weeks ago. Frank did all the work on that car. Jimmy's guy rebuilds a good trans to

Not too tall of an order for one of the vendors. Your location would dictate to me where to go. Someone close? Any of the ones mentioned above can get it done.
