My fan relay has melted. Replace? Or modify?

My fan relay has melted the stock plug going into the fan relay. The fan works when I jumped it and tested it.

I was thinking of going with the G-body/ Dodge/ Ramchargers set up of dual fans.

I want the kit with the dual relays and the one that compensates for the voltage draw.

If I wired in one of the adjustable electric fan thermostats would I need all the other stuff?

Would the computer run the same or is it better to let it control the fans?
