Alright guys, after many many years of working on these cars, many head aches, losses, disasters, financial losses, I've decided to post my current build... I had started this build in 2006, and unfortunately the car I was origionally working on was t-boned as I drove it to get an Inspection sticker. It had no frame damage, just minor damage to the left door and left fender. They burned it on carfax & the car got stuck in a 3 year insurance battle. So I started a new car Please be patient with me as I have lots of pictures to post and I will be updating this thing as I go along...
I decided to get my motor build done by the only man I felt could help me get to the moon DON CRUZ. . . It is currently maybe 3/4's of the way done... just have some minor delays but should be ready here pretty soon...
I decided to go with a 109, girlded, stroked, wide journal build... I asked Don to build me something that would compete with the Current leaders in the XTSM. I'm very competitive so I asked him to build me a rocket...I asked for the best of the best. . . It was in no way cheap. . .
I want to thank a couple of guys, Jason White for taking his time with me on the phone, God knows I asked lots of questions and helped me get over my insecurites! Sack racing, for posting his TSM thread and giving me the motivation to get off my a** and get this project moving. Norbs for taking the time to teach me some really interesting things, giving me great ideas and most of all being a great friend and hearing me out with all my trials and tribulations... That man has a wealth of TECHNICAL DATA!
I don't want to forget all the other TB.com members that posted up pictures and gave me great ideas on what I could and can do to accomplish my goals
Here are some pictures of what I started with....
