 I just bought a 1989 turbo TA. The person i bought it from had the boost set at 22 ponds, and the motor was nocking under full boost. I turned the boost down to the stock setting and the motor still nocked under boost. I turned the boost down to 14 and the motor did not nock at all.
I was wondering why the motor would nock under stock boost settings.
There is a seventh injctor (which enrichens a 11 psi), a pit bull chip, and a down pipe on the car. I am running 100 octane fuel.
I would greatly appreciate if somebody can give me some advise.
THANKS
Mo Jilla

First off I would ditch the pit bull, and go with a good chip--Ramchagers (Modern Musclecar), or a good up to date chip.

Then I would take the 7th inj. off. You should not need this on a stock car.

Next I would get a good scan tool, if you dont have one yet, and see what is going on as far as scan data goes. Then report back and let us know what you find.

HTH!!!

... and join the TTA list. You can participate in discussion with people who know these cars intimately.

I love my car too, but we dont have an intimate relationship. ;)

cant wait to crank the Boost up, can you imagine a 20psi Blow Job?:D

Hey Joe,

Bill, me and some other guys are going up to the Mug tonight. Maybe you should bring the TTA and line up against a GN that won't rev over 4,000. :D HA HA! Let me know.
