moter break in

how soon should I change the oil? It has maybe 45mins to an hour on it now

keep it around 2500 rpm for 25 minutes ....then stop it and change the oil.

wait...did u say youve been breaking it in for45 min? i dont know if thats good or bad. i wouldnt run it that long. just enough to brak in the cam. your oil is full of break in lubricant that clogs up the filter and there must be metal in the oil from the wearing surfaces...Stop the engine and change the oil!

Thanks! I was going to change it in the morning anyhow. BTW its a roller if that helps
