Modded ecm went bad

Seems my ECM is going bad, DS shows the car is always in 4th gear. Everything else seems fine.

Anyone know if it's easy to transfer the injector drivers from my modded ecm to a new ecm?

Try grounding the light blue wire on the tranny connector.

See if it still says you are in 4th gear via Direct Scan.

Best done near the ECM area, Pin C8 should be the light blue wire.

A needle or sharp meter probe tied to ground will work fine.

Could be in the tranny so check the pin or socket that that blue wire goes into in the tranny.

Should be grounded when NOT in 4th gear.

From what I've found, it's not worth while, and the better the install the harder it is.....

You'll need to reinstall them anyway, so if in fact your ecm is shot, just order another, you'll be way ahead of the game.

I've never seen one fail that way.
Get a known good stock ecm, and plug it in.
The 4th gear swiches just grounds the ecm pin as I recall. So no type of failure on that circuit should hurt the ecm unless you apply power to it.
