Spent a BUNCH more time than needed, to make/finish the LS engine mounts. I guess when one is retired, time is of less importance!:D

Here are a couple pics of the pieces. I started w/ some stock, SBC rubber mounts..They looked nasty. So, I cut up the engine plates to a more compact size, got out the scrap, and started w/ a new blade in the band saw.:)
The pass side head is 1" off of the firewall, in this pic. I made the base plates w/ 3- 3/8" bolt holes, so if I decide to move the engine, I just re-drill the frame.
The trans x member is also done. Now, moving on to the rear suspension. It needs some serious mods to allow the upper arms to be adjustable. Can't go with the IC being behind the rear bumper!

hello; All I see is a red block.
IBBY
I have no idea where the pics went....
This pic posting/viewing is becoming a PITA...1/2 the time, when I try to view someones pics, they are shown in a ghosted image, at the bottom of the post..They may/may not pop up into view...
Just reposted them as full images....They show up as thumbnails............

some of us slackers will let you design the good parts and then steal your ideas. They look great Sir.

Thanks!
Now, if it all works, even better!:D
Working on the "sandwich plates" for the frame end of the trans x member. Done, not welded in ,yet.
Tomorrow, it's back on the turbo piping. Dusty Bradford had a couple suggestions that I'm going to use.
1. Move the wg from under the turbo flange, to a pair of connector pipes further away. Too close, and the wg may not be able to control low boost settings.
2. Move the turbo off the corner of the engine a bit more. As it is now, the setup compressor hsg is not the optimum size. A larger hsg may get into the belt tensioner. Gotta have room for the 88!:D

Ahh, the old IC issue raises it's head !
Motor mounts look nice, I would have cheated and milled from solid alum, hate cutting steel, maybe my plasma will change my mind, but I doubt it.

Chuck can you mass production those motor mounts so us lazy and no experience guys with no welding skillyill could buy them from you ;)

Looks great Chuck. Let me know if you need me to test them for you! :) I have a car sitting here with no engine and a new LS engine sitting on the floor beside it.
