Map Light Conversion

I'm going to switch from a dome light to a map light. I ordered the correct map light headliner today and have the complete map light assembly (bracket, harness, and light housing). My question is how does the map light bracket attach to roof? Is it just held up by the the dome light posts with the cutting washers (if that's what the're called lol)? Pics would be great!
