What is the take on painting the intake manifold. Some people say don't, that it holds in heat and others say it doesn't matter. Some say not black because that holds heat. Some say Jet Hot. I am confused. Does it really matter? Help!

No paint will transfer heat best.
I'm not sure what the heck tehy use for paint, but Black Beaty will take it off.

Everything matters, just what lenghts are you willing to go to?.
If you barrier coat it, it will retain heat.
It's the air temp in the plenum that matters.
The Air Gap design is kind of futile since there is no real air flow, but it does keep the oil from being directly on the bottom of the manifold.

Doing stuff that makes a serious change to the lower manifold is a PITB, expensive and time consuming.
