up to you as for the LT1 or LS1 MAF you can get them at the junkyard maybe but ebay is a good place.
Up 2 you hope this helps. I need to do this and get the 87 ecm with TT chip as well but later this year maybe.

OK, I've done some reseach, but, who has done the switch, & what were the pro's & cons? Like does it read different on scan tool readings, (so I've heard) & any real benefits on the 3.5 verses 3". Thanks CGG

I made the switch to the 3 inch Caprice/Impala MAF sensor(Delhi part number AF10045) along with the MAF translator. Painless and the scan tool reads the same as if it were an 84-87 MAF. I run a complete upgrade from the 84/85 except intercooler. A new MAF and translator cost around $400. This setup runs like the original MAF. Brad
