Just to clear something up for you . That converter will not work on most 700R4 trannys. The very early 700's had a 27 spline like the 200 R4. It will work in those. Most of the 700's around now are 30 spline which that converter will not work on.

you are correct it is a 27 spline for 1984 and older 700r4's
generally the 1988-92 700r4's are more desirable
this one was going to be used with an 87 200r4 out of a 1987 GN a true 4 speed automatic in a G-body LS1 conversion project
it was installed but never used
