Another trick I've seen done is gutting an original case then using it to cover a new, modern battery....................

Yes....that's what I did. Im into the original look. So I placed a repro battery sticker over a new battery top. Thought it would look cool on a stock car.

Forget his name but a guy was selling various repro stickers for OEM batteries a few years ago. Not sure if any vendors sell them.
