Lockup brake switch...

Whats the correct way to set this? Had to pull it out when I replaced my PM and now the converter is not locking. Im sure it is not set right. I assume it is just like the brake sitch? Converter will lock when switch is pushed in (brakes not pressed) and will unlock as soon as the switch releases (brakes pressed).

Is there anything detrimental to leaving it like this so it does not lock?
 
Description above is correct.
Leaving it adjusted where it doesn't Lock can cause fluid/trans overheating.
Brake Lights off, Pedal not depressed = TCC Locked.
Brake Lights on, Pedal depressed = TCC unlocked.
