I used bankrate.com to research the going rates and closing costs for a refi and took those figures to a local bank where they worked with me alot. As for car loans, you can't beat capitaloneautofinance.com. They have competitive rates and are easy to apply for and get. They don't really care what vehicle you are getting the money for either and they don't hold you to the vehicle you 'say' you are looking for.
