Leaking trans help needed

What's going guys it's been a long time since I have posted on this forum. I've been kind of busy with my 2000 Ws6 procharger project. Anyway my transmission just gave out and it appears to have a very bad leak. I filled it the other day and within a day it had leaked out. Can anyone tell me what might cause this severe leak. One other thing the tranny won't shift into gear without any tranny oil in it. P.S. the leak is from my 87' any comments appreciated.

Check the dipstick tube at the grommet where it goes into the trans case. I'm having a similar problem and that's the advice I got. Also the TV cable housing where it goes into the transmission. Mine leaks to where it's not even on the stick. It will still run and drive fine with it that low, but the TC doesn't lock like it should.
