I have a TCI 10" Street Fighter Converter (P/N 243015, 3000-3400 stall) that has a lock up clutch assembly inside it, and I'd like to add it to my car. However, the transmission in the car has had the L/U provisions deleted.

Should I be concerned about running a L/U torque converter in a non-L/U transmission? Are bits of clutch going to fall off and go thru the transmission due to heat exposure?

Thanks,

You'll have to convert the front pump back to LU specs and replace the TCC solenoid if it has been removed. If not, the TCC will lock up as soon as you put it in reverse or drive and the car will stall. All I had to do to the front pump when converting back to lock-up was remove the lock-up valve and replace w/ the stock TCC valve assembly and replace the o-ring on the tip of the input shaft. Your's might be set up a little different. FWIW, I had the original Art Carr's stuff (now CPT Transmission).
