Knock problems

I have an 85 GN and have done the 87 ECM conversion. I have a happy scenario if I run my stock MAF sensor for an 85 and the installed MAT sensor for the conversion. When I place an 87 MAF sensor and Mat sensor together and run it is ok till I do some hard runs then she wants to knock. If I disconnect MAT and run hard it does not knock. It seems that the combination causes some issues that I need to fix. Thanks for any ideas to fix.
