Knock Guage Help

I installed a caspers knock guage my 84 GN. I ran three wires one the yellow/black striped wire coming from the ECM. Then i ran two other wires a hot wire to the radio fuse. Then a ground under the dash.

My problem is that my Knock gauge displays the green light dim while you have the car running.

But if you turn the key backwards to accesory then it will get brighter. The way it looks like it should work.

Is there somewhere else i can tap it in too.

or am i missing something.

Do not use the radio fuse. Find another hot wire and double check your ground. Brad

I am with Brad, do not use the stereo wires. Tap into a hot wire in the fuse block, there are spares. And where is your ground? Use a GOOD groud for it to work correctly. The reason your light is dim is you might have wired it to the type that gets dim/bright with headlights, not always steady.
