Knock Detector

IMO this is the most practical knock detector made, because the lights stay on for about 30-45 seconds, and then it re-sets. You can also hook up an audible speaker (from radio shack for a couple of bucks). Several companies, including Kirban made these years ago. I don't know who made this one, but I used this type for 20 years....didn't blow a head gasket in the 280K miles I put on my TR's.

As for installation, the Yellow wire goes to the yellow wire at the ECM coming from the knock sensor. I'm not sure on the others, but I think the red goes to an audible buzzer, then the white and black are power and ground.

I had that detector in my '87 back in the early days. I bought it from Dennis Kirban I think.
