Kenny Bell booster plate

I've got a booster plate I was going to put on my car. I've replaced the front cover with a H.V. one. I would like to use the plate instead of having the gears spin against the aluminum bottom part of the pump. Last time I installed I couldn't get it to stop leaking. The instructions say to grind out between the main oil galley and another flow channel but it doesn't make sense the way the plate is made. Is anyone familiar with this style of booster plate. How can I get it to seal up, is it even worth messing with. THANKS Jeremy

Imo

If you have any kind of solid eng.--you could have excessive oil pressure with the HV cover. I would see what you have with just the HV cover.
