Real quick way to tell...

Regular Regals have the crappy pull strap upper door panels like the GN's have. Limiteds have the "flip up handle" style upper door panels.

It sounds like you already have your answer. Another way to tell is the VIN # itself. Limiteds have a different 5th digit. If it was a Limited it would be "M" not "J".

Cornering lamps are optional equipment and also not available with a black out trim optioned car limited or not.

Of course with the VIN you already have your answer.

Plus, the Limited has a different Dash plaque, that lights up at night.
